Control panels and administrative interfaces are the keys to the kingdom — reach one and an attacker often controls the whole server. The audit reviews the control panels and administrative interfaces on your machine.

We consider:

• Which admin interfaces are running and whether they are exposed to the wider internet.
• Whether access is properly restricted, authenticated and encrypted.
• Whether panel software is current and free of known weaknesses.
• Configuration that leaves an interface more open than it should be.

An admin panel left reachable from anywhere, on default settings or outdated software, is one of the most serious exposures a server can carry. The audit highlights where these interfaces are over-exposed and what should be restricted or hardened.
