Geolocating the genuine sender from the true originating IP

Once the true originating IP address has been isolated from the routing chain, it can be mapped to a geographic location and the network that operates it. This is one of the headline outputs of the report.

From the genuine sender IP we can establish:

• The country and, often, the region or city the message was sent from.
• The network operator or provider responsible for that address.
• Whether the address belongs to a residential connection, a hosting provider, or infrastructure commonly used to hide behind.

This is what turns an anonymous message into something you can act on — it puts a real-world location and provider against a sender who assumed they were untraceable. Note that geolocation reflects where the sending machine was, which is exactly what a complaint to a provider or the authorities needs.
